Captain Ron purchased the "Graceful Ghost" in March of 2009. Prior to that the Ghost had been operating tours on Caddo Lake for the past 15 years. Under the previous owner, it operated out of Taylor Island in Uncertain, Texas. It is now operating out of Shady Glade Marina, at 510 Cypress Drive, in Uncertain, Texas. The Shady Glade Cafe is also located at the marina and is managed by Ray & Sherry Tucker. The cafe has a diverse lunch menu, with the catfish basket being Captain Ron's favorite. Another local favorite is the chicken fried steak. David and Sara Smith own the Shady Glade Resort and have beautiful cabins and motel rooms for rent, as well as an RV park.Captain Ron Gibbs captnron@gracefulghost.com holds a masters license with the U.S. Coast Guard for 200 ton vessels. His maritime career began in 1969, when he joined the Merchant Marines and volunteered for duty on a ship carrying supplies into Vietnam. His seatime experience includes working aboard vessels in Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Mexico and the Caribbean. He is now the proud owner of the "Graceful Ghost" and loves doing tours on exotic Caddo Lake. Captain Ron Gibbs was raised in Shreveport, Louisiana and attended Northwood High School.

The Graceful Ghost had its ribbon cutting ceremonies on June 15, 2009. Members of the Marshall, Texas Chamber of Commerce, The Caddo Lake Area Chamber of Commerce and Tourism, Radio Station KMHT and local residents were on hand to take a short tour of Caddo Lake and participate in the activities.
